Pattern Finds
I was in our little town thrift store the other day and these were a few of the patterns they had there. I chose what I thought were the best ones they had. 4 out of the 5 had never been cut into. Lucky me. The total cost $$$$ .5o cents. If I never use any of them, no big deal.
Receiving Blanket
This was a gift, it's a called a bind-less receiving blanke.t I embroidered her name on it, just a little extra something, it's also made out of cotton fabric instead of the usual flannel, and that is because she had a summer baby and she lives in Las Vegas. It's Super HOT there.
If you would like a tutorial on how to make this cute blanket check out my sisters blog http://shaunettesrants.blogspot.com/2011/03/okay-ladies-i-think-this-might-help.html . or check out this one. http://thecraftpatch.blogspot.com/2011/03/self-bound-flannel-baby-blanket.html

Homemade Booster Seat
I made this booster seat for my little boy, it's got three phone books wrapped in duct tape, then I sewed a cover out of PUL (the stuff they make all in one cloth diapers out of),that way it would be water proof and wipe up easily. Works pretty good, and didn't cost a dime to make. I had everything on hand. Wahoo!

Butterick 3385 style B
I've had this shirt pattern for forever...well I finally made a practice one. This is a sheet. I like the pattern besides the fact that it needs to be a little longer. That's an easy enough fix. I like that it's not too revealing in the bust area (bonus). Now all I've gotta do is find some fabric that I like.

Welcome to my blog
This blog exist because I was posting too many crafts on my "family blog". I love to sew, sometimes scrapbook, paint, refurbish, and the occasional wood projects. This blog will have many items I make, tips, maybe some tutorials, and hopefully it will inspire you to get out there and make your own stuff. Happy sewing.
