Wing Chair Re-Upholstery

This isn't my first upholstery job but it is the hardest I've done as of late. I'm happy that's it's finished but annoyed at all my little mistakes. I thought I would have enough fabric to do one color, turns out not the case. So it has two colors, the second fabric is not my favorite but I didn't have many fabrics to choose from. I now know what to do and what to do different. I'm excited to try another one!

Home sewn Boxer Briefs

I did not expect underwear to be so easy to sew, yes it has little fabric involved but it looked daunting. It's really easy to sew, and it turned out so cute even for boys. Yes that is pink fabric you see below but hey for a boy who is going to be potty training in them I didn't think it was a big deal. I especially love the fact that because the unders are made from my old "T's" and I already had the elastic they only cost was the pattern. I think it was ($12) Totally worth it, it's a great pattern, and has tons of sizes.

little boy pj pants

I made these pajama bottoms from McCall's Pattern M6224 (size 2) I bought a men's XL button up top and used that for the fabric. I think it was 3 dollars, husband didn't have one he would let go of. I love how they turned out!

(don't mind my nasty rental floor)

Kid's Hooded Bath robe

This is my darling little boy modeling his new bathrobe that his mommy (me) made. He loves it. I got the idea for this from here http://www.dana-made-it.com/2011/06/beach-robe-pattern-is-here.html . Her's are super super cute. She has the pattern for sale for $8.

I'm too cheap for that.

I made my own pattern. Maybe I'll post how did that later on if anyone is interested. I won't make a pattern to download though, you can spend the $money$ over at MADE if you would like a pattern.

This bathrobe that I made is out of two towels. I couldn't get one to go far enough so luckily I had another one the same color. They were towels I didn't like anymore. I was just testing to see how it turned out. I love it, they are super easy to make, the binding on the edges is what takes the longest. I used my serger for everything else. I LOVE my serger! I ran out of the yellow binding so I had to use black for the tie. Bummer.

I plan to make a couple more, but out of nicer towels next time :)

Cost to make = "0" dollars

Old towels, binding left over from other projects. Doesn't get any better than that.
Dana over at Made suggest it be a robe for the beach, but we don't live anywhere near the beach, so swimming could work, but we use his for bath time.
